Makosa Rogers

Rogers and his sister Juliet grew up knowing the meaning of struggle. Their father , a

hard worker, did everything it takes to provide for them. Life was never easy,

but at least they had him. Then one day, he was gone. His death left them in the hands

of their mother , a woman with a kind heart but too sickly to work. With no one to rely

on, Juliet and Rogers had to grow up fast. They dug in peoples gardens, fetched

firewood for sale, and did whatever it took to afford education. Even on empty

stomachs, they held onto their dreams.

Juliet longs to be a journalist, to tell stories that matter. Rogers Dreams of becoming a doctor, so no one has to suffer like their mother.

Their dreams are bigger than their struggles and they believe that one day, they will rise

above their circumstances.
